In 2005, Engineering Division of UTC Nig. Plc, which started business in Nigeria as a trading company since 1932,  became UTC Engineering Ltd., taking charge of all previous businesses of the then Engineering and Leasing Divisions. In the course of the transaction we were obliged to re-brand and is now: SERVIPOWER Company Limited.

AFRINVEST (formerly Sectrust) an investor in the Power Service Delivery Business invested in the Companies to the extent of holding 90% of the share capital, while UTC Nigeria Plc retains 10%.

Start up date of the new company was the 1st. Of October 2005.

Servipower (formerly UTC Engineering Ltd.) has always been a “quality” company. Servipower is continuing with  this  and is continuously  improving upon  quality,  the  purpose being to exceed customer expectations.

 

The company is emphasizing on staff training  in order that knowledge and effectiveness in quality work and quick operations/service is enhanced and value is added to products and services.

 

Servipower is employing modern technologies in all aspects

of its operations. This led us to achieve the Level 3 status from Perkins by the end of 2005.
